How to Use TileSort Pro
What is TileSort Pro?
TileSort Pro is a visual thinking workspace for organizing word category puzzle solutions. You solve the puzzle—we help you organize your thoughts.
⚠️ No AI. No automatic solving. Just a clean workspace for your brain.
Getting Started
- Setup Mode: Enter all 16 puzzle words (ENTER to advance)
- Set Hints (Optional): Drag color badges onto tiles that match revealed hints
- Solve Mode: Click tiles to reveal quick color picker, then tap a quadrant or press Y/G/B/P
- Solve Groups: Click "Solve [Color]" when you have 4 tiles ready

Tips
- Use the mode toggle to switch between editing words and assigning colors
- Drag color badges in Setup mode to mark hint tiles (max 4)
- Hint tiles are locked — their colors can't change in Solve mode
- Up to two colors may be assigned to any one tile (creates diagonal split)
- Split tiles cannot be solved - remove the non-group color first
- Each group must have exactly 4 tiles before solving
- "Reset Hints" (Setup mode) clears hint assignments from tiles
- "Clear Colors" (Solve mode) removes all colors but keeps words and hints
- "New Puzzle" completely resets everything
Dark Mode
Toggle between light and dark themes using the ☀️/🌙 button in the top-right corner.
Keyboard shortcut: Cmd+D (Mac) or Ctrl+D (Windows)
Your preference is saved automatically and persists across sessions.
